Abstract: Being lonely is not just a psychological issue, but can be a medical one. It is a bigger health risk than smoking and obesity (Quora). Back in the 1950s, researchers in both medicine and psychology have determined that loneliness is not only an emotional condition but that it is also a physical condition. The focus of this study is to create a feeling of belonging for lonely people and to help them in developing meaningful connections. It will be accomplished by designing a cafe that is concentrating on making an individual to truly feel that they belong; by being surrounded by people who understand them, and also by interconnecting with each other. The cafe will have services and activities that will be concentrating on achieving connections. For instants; an open kitchen, where people can gather around together and cook their own food; or the art gallery area where they can paint and express their feeling. Creating a Lonely Not Cafe in Dubai will help decrease lonely feelings of Dubai residents and increase the quality of life of those who experience loneliness
